Hi, I'm using CumulusX! 1.9.1.2 in FSX (Sp2), in Win10, with Steve's DX10 fixer. I have vertical jitters problems in outside view. In the Help file, a solution is proposed as a DLL package to be downloaded from Authors website: but on this website I cannot find the download link to test the new DLL package. Can someone help me? Installing the CumulusX! never worked me by clicking the .cmd file (due to reporting an error always), so I always decided to install it manually. Here are my 'AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX' files necessary to run this program properly attached into a zip file: CMX.zip Debug mode tells CumulusXDLL.dll = False, however it was added as trusted software into the sim. Tow plane works, however sometimes it is allowed to turn in the opposite way (direction changes between right or left turns inflight), sometimes does not. Recently downloaded cumulusX to try with prepar3d. Ran the installer which promptly disappeared. Tried manually moving the cumulusx folder and clouds folder into prepar3d\simobjects\misc folder. double clicking the cumulusx.exe appears to try starting the program but it stops immediately. I am running windows 10 and it is up to date with latest updates. Tried running it in compatibility mode for win7 and also winxp sp3 (and I am always running it as admin) but no dice. Any ideas?

Nur habe ich aktuell keine Idee, wie ich auf die Koordinaten im RAD Format komme, bzw. wie ich gps Koordinaten entsprechend umrechnen kann. Leider habe ich auch keine Beispiel Scripts außer dem in der Anleitung finden können. Gibt es welche ? Ich kann mich noch erinnern, dass ich damals mit FS2000 Thermikflächen nach meinen Vorstellungen erstellt habe. Leider habe ich dazu keinerlei Aufzeichnungen mehr. Has anyone got CuX working in P3Dv4? (I know P3D isn't officially supported but worth the ask..) There is a report on UK-VGA of it working, but the DLL CuX installs is a 32-bit one, so any code in it cannot work (resources like strings will be loaded though) - to confirm in the Contenterrors.txt file I get"Error loading ".\Modules\CumulusX!\CumulusXDLL.dll." in "C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\DLL.xml.". DLL is 32 bit. A 64 bit version is required."The EXE loads and runs OK though.I didn't get this far till late last night so only did one test flight, using one of Wolfgang's gliders, and I didn't see any cloud shadows so I suspect CuX isn't active…

Sehr geehrter Peter, ich wunderte mich bereits seit einiger zeit, das ich keine Thermik hatte im P3D, trotz CumulusX und ASN, wobei der blick aus dem Fenster bestes Flugwetter verhieß. Meine Beobachtung: Im Tool von CumulusX steht zeitweise Enable Lifts, es blinkt jedoch zeitweise Disable Lifts auf, dazu graut sich zwischenzeitlich Disconnect aus und Connect erscheint wieder, dies jedoch jeweils für nur rund 1 Sekunde. Installed CumulusX in FSX:SE. When I try using it, large blocks of white fill everything shortly after the tow leaves the ground. Installed it into the base FSX folder. Some of the directory structure for SimObjects: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\SimObjects\Misc\CumulusXCloud What am I doing wrong? Thanks John

I am having so much trouble getting CumulusX to provide me with the thermal lift I was expecting. I can clearly see the clouds (and sometimes the shadows) in P3D as the look of the clouds is very distinctive vs. REX Soft Clouds. I have disabled the default FSX thermals and also use ASN with thermal updraft and downdraft at zero. Mostly I am hearing the Variometer solid sound for no lift but when going near the cloud I am able to get the beep beep beep for lift but when I circle it immediately goes away. What is the best way to sustain the lift and circle up ? Do you enter the thermal on the edge? If so where is that relative to the cloud? thanks for the help.

I just bought this program and in single player all where perfect, but once I tried with a friend that has comulus also, we tried to connect via multiplayer session in P3Dv3.1. and as soon as we both tried to connect cumulusX it changed from connect to disconnect continuously.. beeing to able to connect it. Do someone know if this can be solved? Is CumulusX compatible with P3Dv3.1? Thanks!

Has anybody got CumulusX working OK in P3D V3? I can get it working but once i active thermals P3D goes into a repeated reset mode. Any ideas appreciated Thank you

Running Prepar3d V2.5, Cumulus X (registered) and Win 8.1 x64. As I fly in Brazil I only fly thermals. And I'm loving it!! Specially the birds flying the thermal's core. But No matter what I do I can not get a tow plane. I already selected the plane (a Maule 260). Configured speed and pitch. I selected the traffic pattern (no matter left or right) and nothing happens... The traffic pattern config menu closes and nothing happens. I'm already embarrassed that I'm missing something obvious but I really need somebody to point what it is.

I have been flying aircraft simulations since they first appeared back before some of you were born. I am, however, totally new to FSX (Steam Edition) and the excellent CumulusX! add-on (licensed). Much thanks to Peter for this. He has done a fantastic job. The issue of not finding thermals has come up a number of times and there have been good suggestions from the "pros" in here so I am mostly repeating their advice with a couple of my own observations. Note I am running FSX/CumulusX under Windows 10 with absolutely no compatibility problems at all. Everything works perfectly although this is no surprise. So ..... Hello All, To kick things off, I am a massive CumulsX fan so I don't mean to offend! I fly paragliders when the weather permits, which most weekends in the UK it doesn't so FSX, WinchX and CumulusX satisfy my soaring itch extremely well! I have to say as much as I love the realistic lift generation, I'm really not a fan of the clouds....I have REX 4+Soft clouds installed with various FTX Addons which I have built up over a number of years and the CumulsX clouds just don't do it for me, they just look out of place. I found that when I disabled the lift, I had lost the default thermals & birds etc too no matter how hot it was, or what season they just stopped…

Hello, I had to rebout my vista sp2 32bit machine, and have installt my fsx, acceleration, rex essential plus overdrive, accu feel. Bad when i try to install my cumulusx again it makes not a modulus map in my fsx. accu feel makes also a modulus map in my fsx, so i remove accu feel, and gife that room for cumulusx to make, bad nothings happens here in fsx, no modulus map ? Hi Peter or friends of sim gliding CumulusX! 1.9.1.2 works perfectly with my boxed FSX on Windows 7-64 home premium and I am a registered user. I have a dual installation of FSX-SE with a disk version of FSX on the same computer on the same drive. CumulusX! is installed twice, once for the disk version and once for the steam version. I have only two addons installed, CumulusX and ASN. Problem with FSX-SE: In FSX-SE, CumulusX! causes FSX-SE to reload terrain and default hang-glider crashes every few seconds and flight is reloaded. Hello, I'm new to FSX and CumulusX and I've just tried to install CumulusX on a new Windows 8.1 64bit (clean iso from ms download) with FSX steam edition. Basically FSX and steam are the only software installed Unfortunately all I get by running the installer (as an admin) or Modules/CumulusX (saw this on another thread) is just a pop up that it has stopped working. Dear friends of virtual soaring, the bug discovered in the previous release of CumulusX! has been fixed now and a new version is available for installation. For those who had already installed the last release 1.9.1 and do not want to re-download the entire package a hotfix is available which only contains the executable file V1.9.1.2, which should replace the executable V1.9.1. Those who are still using the older version 1.9. shoud consider installing the complete new package to get also the most recent documentation easily. Hello friends of virtual soaring! A new version of CumulusX! is available as of now. It's a minor release with few, but imho relevant improvements: Improved Thermal Cloud Handling In particular in mountain regions it could happen that thermal clouds intersected with terrain, where the trigger of the thermal was practically in the clouds. It is not safe to enter clouds laying on ground, and such thermals are pointless. At the same time, graphic depiction was not appealing. Now CumulusX! thermals clouds are depicted only if they are sufficiently higher than their trigger and, most of the time do not intersect with terrain anymore. Cloud depiction is also suppress…

Hello, Who can help me to get Cumulus X activated in my FSX ? I'll try to activated my Cumulus X, bad what i try it wont activate. I have clouds around me, bad nu birds and other things in Cumulus X When i klick on soft clouds, it see, only in demo or activated. I've got a license copy of CumulsX 1.9, however I hve moved to Prepar3d as my new flight research platform. Has anyone got CumulusX running under Prepar3d? I read a few forum posts implying that someone had (with a few issues like no birds in thermals). I've installed it, and it able to manually connect to Prepar3d, however when I do so, Prepar3d relads the scenery every 5 to 10 seconds or so. Debug output from CumulusX seems to be ok (other than not recognizing my license). I am wondering if anyone else has advice on getting it running?

Anyone able to get the smart tow working ok in CumulusX using P3D? I can get thermals and ridge lift all working ok but no matter what i do to the speed, pitch settings etc in Tow plane it has no effect on the speed and the tow plane continues to tow way too fast, 80kts+. Any help or ideas appreciated Thanks
