wow, great stuff

I'm really interested, I'm assuming frame rates would be high? even on a low end system?

could you list the airports that are covered? I can't read the icao codes

Framerates will be bad on a low end system for the simple reason there are tens of thousand objects placed (so not like autogen scenery) and because they are not at the same altitude the can not be optimized in one single file. Nothing to do about this. This is what we say on the product page:

___

Please note that this is a product that is hard on framerates because of the thousands of individually placed objects. Due to the way FSX handles these objects there is just no way to optimize the scenery more than has been done. Running this scenery on the highest scenery levels could only impossible on the fastest systems. The scenery however makes full use of the density settings so when your system is not top notch you can scale down complexity and still see amazing scenery. The System requirements should be taken very serious.

System requirements:

Microsoft Flight Simulator X (Acceleration or SP2)

Windows XP, Windows 7 (fully updated), Windows VISTA possible but not advised

Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 CPU minimum (Core 2 Quad advised)

2 GB RAM

DX9 Graphics Card with 512 MB (product is DX10 mode compatible)

The addon will still look good with decent fps on low end systems, because you can turn down scenery density all the way down to very_sparse and still enjoy the landscape. But of course this addon is all about Africa-typical stuff like animals, villages, lodges,... and you will need at least a medium system to find lots of them with reasonable performance.

You mean "could only possible on the fastest systems." ;)

Must've been a mistake on the product page. If the developer runs it well on his Vista PC the customer should be ok. :D

Vista 32 bit and 64 bit are welcoming AAA! 64 bit even more as you won't get any OOM problems if you have 4GB RAM or more.
