DaleRFU 8
Hi there, I am new to the forum so I didn't know where to place this so i will place it here. I have purchased several of your Mega Airports and I am Really really impressed. I have to ask though, has there ever bin any interest in doing an airfeild in the Middle East e.g. Riyadh, Jeddah, Bahrain, Amman, The UAE. The airports there are quite amazing and would be a great addition to the FS world as people tend to lack making scenery for that part of the world Thanks Link to comment https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/35730-the-middle-east/ Share on other sites

737FREAK 9
Well, it's been said before. It's really hard to excess those airport, or get them to co-operate. And it's hard to get the right information and photo material. But, I agree, I would love to fly to Dubai in FSX (with AES) Link to comment https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/35730-the-middle-east/#findComment-233216 Share on other sites

DaleRFU 8
There is a scenery for Riyadh (King khalid Intl) airport but it is very taxing on framerates and isnt the best, but it gives a good idea of what it looks like. Have posted a link for you guys to look at: http://www.speedyshare.com/files/22917200/Ryadh_Intl.zip Link to comment https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/35730-the-middle-east/#findComment-233289 Share on other sites
Martin Martinov 22
I live in UAE and I can provide Aerosoft with pictures if needed. Dubai Airport is easy to be shot from different angles as there are couple of high structures around. Cheers, Martin Link to comment https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/35730-the-middle-east/#findComment-233388 Share on other sites
Waleed 29
If you need info for Jordan: OJAI, OJAM, OJAQ. You can contact VATJO Assistant FIR Chief Anas Kheir. http://vatjo.net/M2P0/index.php?option=com_contact&catid=3&Itemid=5, or Mahmoud A. Fadli, Division Director VATSIM Middle East director@vatme.net You will find they are very helpful, and could possibly help with gathering all relevant information regarding the airports in Jordan. They created a nice, but basic scenery package for Jordanian airports, and I am sure they will be excited to offer any help to get Aerosoft quality airports. P.S. As we have more time with fsx, perhaps it is only logical to offer simmers new areas to fly to. The following is a listing for all divisions in the region, so I am sure that members can provide all the help that is needed if there is an interest. http://www.vatme.net/ Link to comment https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/35730-the-middle-east/#findComment-233398 Share on other sites

Waleed 29
I would love to see a megacity Dubai with a basic airport.... but that's about it. Why not a detailed airport to go along with the megacity? I am curious. Link to comment https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/35730-the-middle-east/#findComment-233512 Share on other sites
bionicCrab 7
Just because it would come in at a lower price point, It should be similar to Chicago X product. Also it might be hard to sell a megairport when the Dubai Aiport scenery already exists for FS9. I'd prefer it to be FSX only, again just to save a few bucks Link to comment https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/35730-the-middle-east/#findComment-233565 Share on other sites
Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51562 Posted June 23, 2010 Aerosoft Share Posted June 23, 2010 Can't give details but one of our staff members is at this moment at a place where it was 42 degrees today. And he was on the platforms to take pictures. This will be one hot product. 42 degrees? That'll be either one of Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Muscat, Kuwait City or Jeddah. Of these, the weather report says 42 exactly for Jeddah and Riyadh, but I'm hesitant to think it's one of these... I guess it'll be Abu Dhabi then...? Taking pictures in this heat is not the healthiest. Though he has the VIP treatment if he is out and about at the airport proper. Waleed 29
Okay, when might you consider spilling the beans, as I am really anxious. P.S. To get people interested a little bit in the region, check this site out (Freeware) for OLBA for FSX which I hope will come out soon: http://www.leborsim.com/ They released a terrain package for Lebanon (FSX), and I suggest people visit and encourage them, and for those interested in fs9, they already had the airport scenery released some time ago. Again, looking forward to it. Link to comment https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/35730-the-middle-east/#findComment-234787 Share on other sites
Martin Martinov 22
He, he, he.... the other day was 42 degrees in Dubai... We had perticulary hot week because of the desert winds. But now your spotter should be fine as temperatures dropped down to about 37-38 because of the sea breeze. I will be following with great anticipation! bionicCrab 7
Yeah honestly I'd be surprised if it wasn't Dubai... modelling all those buildings would just be fun.. they have so many cool and unique looking buildings they have tv series dedicated to their construction Link to comment https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/35730-the-middle-east/#findComment-234874 Share on other sites

bionicCrab 7
Yeah... I dunno about that one.. done by a 16 year old? Klemm-35 13
I don't know... I'm hanging every day at FsDeveloper out and that since more than 1 year. But I have seen only one screenshot of the airport and that was a question about alpha channel. I'm always wondering why people keep asking about this "beautiful" scenery. Or did I miss something?
